A key figure in the Griselda collective and one of the most consistent rappers in the world right now, Benny The Butcher is maturing like a fine wine. After dropping three rich, refined and rapturous projects in 2021, Benny continues to demonstrate why he is so widely respected on this new cut. Rightly questioning the location of his long overdue respect within rap industry, Benny drops the best verse of ’22 so far, weaving through his razor-sharp narrative with incredible articulation and jaw-dropping wordplay.  The beat, which comes courtesy of production prophet The Alchemist, oozes buttery smoothness.

Illustrating his near peerless reach, the Butcher enlists J Cole for a typically grandiose, sophisticated performance. Cole picks his flow and sticks with it, shaping his narrative as a direct follow up from Benny’s, eagerly claiming the status of the best rapper in the world. 

This is rap music at its very finest. All three musicians involved are performing at the very highest level, and it is truly a joy to witness. I can’t lie, for me, Benny outshines Cole.
