GALA Festival 2024 Review

GALA Festival, now in its ninth year, remains one of my absolute favorite events of the year, and this year's edition was a standout. The festival’s unique blend of vibes and raves created an atmosphere that was both vibrant and immersive, making it easy to lose yourself in the experience.

This three-day extravaganza in Peckham was a highlight of London's festival scene, showcasing a diverse lineup that catered to all tastes. The aesthetic was exceptionally fun and cool, transforming the venue into a lively and dynamic space. The hay bales provided a comfortable seating option that didn't interfere with the festival's flow, and En Route’s real coconuts were a refreshing treat under the summer sun.

The culinary offerings were equally impressive, with standout dishes like plantain chicken and jollof rice that were both flavorful and satisfying. The spice rum and ginger beer combo was the perfect accompaniment to the festival’s energetic vibe.

Musically, GALA Festival delivered with its renowned lineup. DJ EZ was phenomenal, providing an unforgettable set that had everyone dancing. Novelist also brought his signature energy, adding to the festival's electric atmosphere. With a mix of legendary DJs and emerging talents, including Chaos In The CBD and SHERELLE, the performances were nothing short of spectacular.

GALA Festival’s commitment to diversity, transparency, and environmental sustainability is evident in its partnerships with organizations like NTS and Refuge Worldwide. This year’s festival not only entertained but also supported important causes, creating a positive impact.

GALA Festival 2024 was an incredible experience, and I’m already looking forward to what’s in store for 2025. If you’re looking for a festival that combines great music, delicious food, and a commitment to positive change, GALA is the place to be!
