Bando Spot
Birmingham’s M1llionz has just dropped one of the coldest anthems of the year so far with an ode to 50 Cent’s ‘Candy Shop’ in his new banger ‘Bando Spot’.
Following a leak of the intoxicating anthem, fans across the globe went absolutely mental in the comment section, demanding M1llionz to release the track that had already become THE next offering from the UK rap scene, with his audience playing loop after loop of the minuet instagram snippet. M1llionz was keen to release the fresh track, however his management had other ideas. So following his management’s advice M1llionz pretty much said: ‘f**k it, send me 10,000 text messages on my phone and I’ll shoot the vid ASAP!’… and as you can imagine the people didn’t disappoint, and so ‘Bando Spot’ was pushed forward.
This infectious track sees the Brummy voice put a spin on Curtis Jackson’s classic ‘Candy Shop’ with his unorthodox flow and unforgettable accent, as he patters across a Honeywood Six and Jevon production mixed by Cam, punctured with chattering brass, rattling hi-hats, pungent 808’s and of course no drill track would be complete without some of those muddy slides.
Now when it comes to the flow, M1llionz really did his ting on this one. The drill star entwines his very own atypical delivery alongside Mr Get Rich or Die Trying’s infectious flow within the 2005 offering, creating an unpredictable listening experience - yet also serving a hint of nostalgia with his head swaying hook sealed with that classic ‘Candy Shop’ ‘woahhhh’, followed by his own take on that ‘what we do and when we do’ flow in the second verse.
In ‘Candy Shop’ fashion, M1llionz pulls up in a Ferrari outside a lavish manor house before giving us a tour of the extravagant decor, furnished with gold and painted ceilings, all before taking us to the ‘Bando Spot’ where a line of models are pictured helping him on his ‘factory line’ - all courtesy of the drill scene’s go-to director, Teeeezy C.
Possibly one of the most unparalleled drill artists of our time, M1llionz has yet again made it crystal clear that he’s trying to take this misunderstood genre to every corner of the globe and beyond. So, go take in the eye-catching visuals over on his YouTube channel and run up those numbers, it’s nearly already at a milli in one week!
