Walk Away
Female icon and soulstress Pip Millett released Walk Away on September 23rd, the fifth track to be released in the run-up to her forthcoming album When Everything Is Better I’ll Let You Know.
It’s almost impossible to not have stumbled across Pip Millett at this point. Since her debut back in 2018, the 24-year-old singer has featured on COLORS show, collaborated with infamous rapper Ghetts and released 3 EPs.
It’s safe to assume that Pip is taking us on an emotional journey with her. Opening the track with the lyrics “A little bit of loving goes far - that’s what they told me - I’ve been drained” really set the tone for the track being a voice for young women to resonate with. By ending the track with the same line quite abruptly “A little bit of loving goes far - that’s what they told me” it really pushes the narrative that as a young female you have put yourself first above all else even though other people will tell you otherwise.
It will be interesting to hear Pip’s story unfold once the new album is released.
