Reading’s George Bucks has blessed his loyal ones with The Reception, a 7-track mixtape of raw rap available on his Bandcamp. 

Bucks’ first single Wait. Stop. Listen. is somewhat of a cult-classic. Dropped in 2017, garnering over 50k plays, it exhibits the meticulously on-point barring which Bucks uses to depict his distinctive take on the world we call home. 

Between then and now we have had a steady stream of short but sweet releases that have illustrated the extent of just how far the tongue is lodged in the cheek- 2020’s Disgusting might be a good place to start. 

The Reception then continues our protagonists’ progression. This time he offers a hand to his long-time producer Jza and constructs dance-inspired My Dargy as well as Cleanest and 2 Quid Clobber, with Jza behind my pick of the bunch and opener Gd U Knw on top of Keep Swimming and Hope & Wish.
