Selina

Lifesize Teddy, a 23-year-old rapper, poet, and singer/songwriter from Port Harcourt, has released her new single ‘Selina’ featuring Major AJ. Produced by GRAMMY-nominated Sparrq, ‘Selina’ blends hip-hop and Afrobeats, showcasing Teddy's versatile talent in both vocals and rap. The track, an upbeat yet embittered love song, references a regional slang term meaning “good luck charm.”

Teddy’s music, influenced by global icons like Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé, and Nigerian artists like M.I Abaga and Burna Boy, is described as AfroFusion. Her previous EP, ‘POISN,’ highlighted her vulnerability, covering themes like grief and happiness. Notable outlets like NME and The NATIVE Mag have praised her confidence and promise.

Last year, she opened for Ayra Starr on the UK-leg of her tour, enhancing her live performance skills. With ‘Selina,’ Lifesize Teddy continues to solidify her place in contemporary African music.
