Schweet

Following on from her impressive November single, Hushppuppi, and after featuring in Complex’s UK rappers to watch in 2022 list, British-Ghanaian rapper ShaSimone returns with a new single, Schweet, featuring Suspect OTB. Hackney’s ShaSimone goes back-to-back on the grime styled instrumental with Suspect, with both of them trying to outdo each other. 

Produced by SlicVic, ShaSimone and Suspect go back-to-back on the trappy backdrop. In the accompanying video shot by DirectedByGM, we see the two artists dressed stylishly and taking a ride around London with plenty of expensive cars and high-grade smoke in the cut stunting.

Speaking on the new track, ShaSimone said:

“‘Schweet’ is about living in the moment, having a good time because we’re not here forever. The track was so organic to make and, funnily enough, it was after me and Suspect went to Potter Payper’s album screening. Working with Suspect is lit, man! His energy is always on 100, and positive. We were just going back and forth on the track, as you can hear; we didn’t want it too structured, just a nice and easy flow.”

The year 2022 is looking like a big year for the female rapper, she has already confirmed that she’s performing at Afro Nation and Rolling Loud respectively.
