Ride 2 Nowhere

Vocalist and songwriter B-awhe has marked her first release of the year with ‘Ride 2 Nowhere’, a delicately arranged escape route to a fairytale land.

Although now South London based, B-awhe has quite the mixed musical upbringing; born and raised in Nottingham with Polish heritage, it was whilst studying in Leeds she met perhaps the most prominent people in her development- LAUSSE THE CAT, Nix Northwest and the producer for this single TAMBALA.

Through intricately woven lyricism B-awhe explores femininity, mental health, and relationships but with enough nuance (unironically) to challenge and provoke. This earned her the 2022 Drake YolanDa Award, whilst also putting her on the tip on the tongue of many taste-makers, producers and frequent visitors of the UK’s underground scene.

We also have a wondrous set of visuals which underline B-awhe’s love for the fantastical, co-directed by herself and Seb Luke Virgo. The various backdrops that our protagonist floats across were illustrated by Ralph Berryman, who is also to thank for the single artwork.

‘Ride 2 Nowhere’ is out everywhere now, with the upcoming album expected around November.
