Pow Wow

The UK R&B scene has continued to thrive this year, and one rising artist worth checking out is Charli Fletcher. The London-based singer has just unveiled her latest single, Pow Wow, and it has all the makings of a great R&B track. Featuring a gripping and somewhat hypnotic midtempo beat alongside Charli’s smooth and sultry vocals, it’s a fascinating listen and is elevated further by its relatable subject matter, which is centred around body empowerment and feeling confident in your own skin. 

The track is accompanied by an equally impressive music video (directed by Charli Fletcher and Anton Califano) that fits perfectly with the song’s theme of body confidence. Clearly a star in the making, it will be interesting to see what Charli has in store for 2023. Based on ‘Pow Wow’, the rising talent will surely be one to watch.

Speaking further on Pow Wow, Charli commented: 

“It’s a song that embodies body empowerment but also explores different qualities about me that are not just physical. My friend Imperial No Drama, who is a brilliant producer, sent me the instrumental, and it was called ‘Body Like Wow’. The energy of the beat was very sexy and slow, so I just vibed with it.”
