Only God Can Judge Me

One of the broadest collectives within the rap hemisphere, NSG recruit Birmingham legend Mist for impressive release ‘Only God Can Judge Me’.

Experts at merging style and culture, the self-defined brotherhood have collaborated with many of the biggest names in rap, the likes of Potter Payper, Tion Wayne and Nines. Since their 2017 debut project ‘Grown Up’, the six-piece group have risen to giddy heights, and have helped pioneer a confluence of UK, US and Afro sub-sounds. Their 2020 mixtape ‘Roots’ solidified their aesthetic and garnered their acclaim, with upcoming EP ‘Headliner’ set to elevate their status even further.

Alongside typically energetic percussion, purposeful synths and eloquent guitar licks act as the vibrant palette for the six members to deliver their unique takes on the narrative, with their diverse tones and silky flows equally lavish and striking. Mist opens the track; absolutely shelling his verse as you would expect from one of the most assured and prolific rappers in the country.

Accompanied by an incredible, cinematic visual with a rolling narrative, its clear these guys are serious about not only the sonic art form, but in creating an immersive, visceral and all-consuming experience for their fans.

Speaking on the new single, the boys commented:

It’s exactly what it says on the tin. There are things we do behind closed doors, and there are some things we are brave enough to do freely, but at the end of the day it’s only baba God who can judge all of us, but for now this is the NSG way. The area boy way.

With global domination well within their sights, expect NSG to top charts and festival slots for years to come.
