None The Wiser

Sam Wise returns in rip roaring form with new EP None The Wiser, and accompanying visual for Thankful, continuing the augment the sound that he and his contemporaries revolutionised.

A true pioneer in the emerging, flourishing alternative rap scene, Sam and his collective House of Pharaohs have been pinnacle players in the successful of the movement, pushing through a more trap orientated strand of the ever expanding genre. As a solo artist, the rapper has gone from strength to strength; his ’21 album Free Game is broad and effortlessly expansive, with its legacy proving to be acute and influential.  

The new EP sees Sam Wise further explore and ameliorate the sound that he rose with. It’s a refined body of work primed with dense bars, instrumental articulacy and cheek-laden charisma. Alongside the fresh drop, Wise unveiled an accompanying music video for EP track Thankful, which sees him walking the streets of Lambeth to discover what people are grateful for. It’s a heartwarming visual that is refreshing to see from such a cherished name in the scene.
