Mission Complete

Continuing tradition, SL released Mission Complete on Christmas Day to round off a successful 2021. If we are to take anything out of this A6ixTheProducer and Khari Dyer produced track is that the young South London rapper is now focused on getting the bag and taking his career to another level.

The single begins with a voice note from someone of SL team who is telling SL not to waste his clear talent by being distracted by the enemies of progress; girls and hanging with friends. He is told to be consistent in order to be as successful as he can be. The track then progresses into SL gifting us with his unique flow and voice as he effortlessly weaves through the War Rally type of beat which bleats triumphant trumpets, playing more on message that he is ready for war and to take what is his. It reminds me of legendary sounds of 06 Lil Wayne, right before he took over the rap game.

The single is accompanied by a Simon Aukes-directed video. SL is seen in the rocky countrysides getting himself geared up to take on any obstacles that he may face in what is sure to be a eventful 2022.

2021 saw SL released well-received singles which included Versuz, Playtime, Timezone, and featured on Avelino's Waze and Wretch32’s Next Door.  With his last EP Different Dude over a year ago, it seems like we are edging closer to a much-needed project from SL.
