Exciting new collective JONZEBOYZ illustrate their worth on the boundless, provocative and experimental self-titled EP.

The group, whose affiliates include upcoming multi-faceted media company PressGang, first announced themselves to the scene with 2020 single wantitall?, with listeners hooked by their overzealous, futuristic sound that falls somewhere between House of Pharaohs and Lancey Foux. Their sophomore cut BALMAINBOYZ followed in ’21, with both singles featuring on their debut body of work. 

The simultaneously spacey and hard-hitting production is impactful and otherworldly, with each artist carving their own lyrical and sonic identity through strong performances. Seemingly impossible to pin down stylistically, the group combine elements of hyperpop, trap and rap to submerge the listener in a state of gritty and confused elation. Opener OUTMYMIND! is the longest and arguably most accessible track, with atmospheric ad libs, booming 808s and eccentric synths a suitable backdrop for a charismatic barring and auto-tuned vocals. 

Subtly hectic and effortlessly immersive, JONZEBOYZ are pushing the boundaries of what it means to be a rap collective. We are excited to hear what’s next.
