kayowa returns with a hyper-futuristic, yet soulful track that revolves around introspection.

The self-proclaimed ‘south-London-songstress’ is an artist in every sense of the word. Often writing and producing her own content, what emanates throughout the track is distinctly her through and through. On her new track ‘harmonE’, her creative force is partnered with producer GYPTXVN to create this luscious Y2K atmosphere.

The track starts with spaced-out synths and muffled drums, partnered with an ultramodern typeface and colour palette on the cover, the track sounds like a selection screen for a DVD set 200 years from now (in the best way). The rhythm comes in with punchy kicks and delicate percussion to create an utterly infectious groove. Kayowa begins to sing about her willingness to “break away” from the online world and how she feels disconnected from those around her. The pairing of these isolated lyrics and subtle synths creates quite a shy track at face value, yet one that isn’t afraid to remind you who you’re listening to.
