Gangways EP

'Gangways' is the new ten-track mixtape from the man, the myth, Aonenine. It is no secret that Aone has put in hours perfecting his sound and once again he doesn't disappoint. This wholesome project is predominately produced, mixed, and mastered by himself alongside Kid Snow.

We see him showcase different aspects of his capricious style that defines his sound throughout, offering autotuned vocals punctuated by crooning adlibs with whispering like voices of temptation on his shoulder. In addition, he provides an intriguing feature list including some key holders of the underground UK scene including GoofyRockz and Len. We also hear pitch puppeteer Frazer successfully pulling the heartstrings on 'P-Graphic' providing as well as , 'Mani DM' bouncing over spacey synths and layered melodies in Strawberry Jam.

A two-part, Greentea Peng inspired visual for 'Quarterpounder' and 'Palm Angels' emerged just days before the tape which takes us on a dripped-out journey from one side of his sound to the next. With a polarizing visual experience to match. Joining forces with long term collaborator Kid Snow on Palm Angels, we are greeted with his signature sound consisting of big, pounding 808's and sharp snappy drums.

On his creative process and collaboration choice Aone said:

“I’d approach artists I personally find wavey and the more I went to the studio and got closer to the end product the more I’d be inspired lyrically.”

More than a mixtape, Gangway stabilises his spot in the scene as he climbs the stairs of the UK's underground scene. Highlighting his growth, it's evident that he has taken his sound to the next level and he is only just getting started.
