Float

Whilst blending influences from successful female musicians within the industry such as Rina Sawayama, Bree Runway and FKA Twigs, Cariss Auburn has released her newest single ‘Float’, a soft and bubbly number reminiscent of KAYTRANADA, as Cariss uniquely merges Alt-pop and R&B.

 Cariss draws upon inspiration from bands such as Arcade Fire but also Destiny’s Child and learnt guitar, pushing her musical abilities forward and playing with vocal harmonies and an abundance of vocal arrangements.

With an accompanying video to fit the new track, ‘Float’ shows Cariss embodying future R&B with classic twists and effortless vocals, adorned with a combination of soft and extravagant colour palettes and outfits that match the mood of ‘Float’, setting the tone for what else she has to offer. Cariss is definitely one to watch for the rest of 2021.
