New York artist Omgimjoe lands with exuberant energy with the lead track from his debut LP, ‘Finbar’ - joining forces with Aaron Rizzo and producer Skyrenzo. This track brings forth elements of strong instrumentalism with hints of jazz and pop fusion, which all the while enables Omgimjoe to easily sprinkle his style and flow on the top of the beat – the balance is spot on between melody and accompaniment.

 An overall feel of fun, the guitars are key to how ‘Finbar’ comes across to the listener, it shows expression through its chord progressions and ornaments (musical term for decoration). Why? The choice of chords and key signature, along with the upbeat nature of the track, add colour and vibrancy, bringing this ‘bouncy’ feel to the overall sound. Whilst having that new American rap sound, the take is refreshing and cuts through the noise from other music leaving that scene currently.
