Feed Me
Avant garde and idiosyncratic, RIMON teases her upcoming EP ‘Digital Tears’ with fascinating single ‘Feed Me’.
Eritrea-born, Amsterdam raised and now London-based, RIMON has had an incredibly diverse and multicultural upbringing. This plethora of culture trickles down through RIMON’s musical outlook and inspiration, using a vast array of sounds and textures in her challenging and creative work. Working with the outstanding Samuel Kareem, who produced the soon-to-be-released EP in its entirety, RIMON’s art is intricate, innovative and indefinable.
Thematically dense and uncompromising, on ‘Feed Me’ RIMON tackles a topic that few dare to ponder - phones. She questions the reality of our addictive relationship with mobile devices, and how we are intrusively attached to them. Constantly overwhelmed by the information we received from them, (whether the news we absorb is the truth or fake is a whole other bag of worms) we cannot help but keep looking, keep scrolling and keep consuming. RIMON’s upcoming EP revolves around this terrifying but compelling theme; our relationship with technology, and specifically phones and the villainous social media.
With her EP set for release in July, make sure RIMON and her damning exploration of modernism is on your radar.
