It’s 2015. It’s N-O-V. It’s the hightop. It’s the chain swinging. It’s the Endz music video, and  Novelist is creating a timeless UK anthem that will be at the resurgence of grime for that era. Such  is Novelist’s talent that back in 2015, you would’ve thought there was no way he wouldn’t be at  the forefront of UK rap. Instead, it feels like Novelist has maintained that “if you know, you know”  status amongst music fans with songs like With Us in 2021, a fan favourite. Fast-forward to  September 2022 and it feels like we might be about to see a more consistent Novelist - one ready  to take what’s his.  

Don’t wake me, Novelist’s newest release, merges his effortless flow with production from JLSXND7RS and MOJZYO, whose use of nostalgic sample cements the status of this record as a true banger. Reflective and mature, the song highlights Novelist’s growth as an artist and a man  as he comments on a variety of trials and tribulations. Novelist is also featured on a newly  released song with D-Double E called Pace and hopefully the rest of 2022 will be flooded with new music from the man…we’ll be waiting.
