Dry Rain
Brighton emcee Kemastry is teasing his first ever full-length solo album with stand-alone single Dry Rain.
Making up 33.3% of rap crew CMPND, Kemastry has often dabbled in typically boastful UK rap, but now he has the mic to himself we see a different, more introspective side to our artist’s direction. He recruits VooDoo Collective’s Gaijin for the almost funeral-like production, allowing him to divulge in the world around him through tinted lenses.
Aside from CMPND’s December drop last year it’s been a quiet time for our Brighton-based emcee; his first and latest album Frosty Raps dropped way back in 2018, and perhaps the changes since then will be revealed in Director’s Notes Say Smile, Eyes Say Different his upcoming solo project.
Sadboy rap at its finest and most emotive, Dry Rain is out everywhere now.
