Rising independent artist Nolan Lewis has unveiled his latest musical endeavor with the release of his EP, Do your eyeballs ever feel warm?. This six-track project not only showcases Nolan's diverse musical talents but also underscores his commitment to championing Black and queer artists in the industry.

Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, and currently based in Bethesda, MD, and Middletown, CT, Nolan Lewis has been making waves with his infectious pop-rap sound. Gaining early recognition from actress Beanie Feldstein, Nolan solidified his place in the music scene with the release of his previous album, PLASTIQUE (Deluxe), in December 2023. His remix of Nicki Minaj’s hit track “FTCU” further propelled him into the spotlight, garnering over three million views on TikTok and earning features on Genius and MuchMusic.

With Do your eyeballs ever feel warm?, Nolan delves into his a cappella and choral roots, seamlessly blending elements of hip-hop/rap, electro-pop, country, bossa nova, and psychedelic soul. The EP is led by the electrifying single “PACKUPNGO!”, a high-energy track that highlights Nolan’s versatility and evokes the sounds of PinkPantheress and KAYTRANADA, with vocals reminiscent of Doja Cat and Aminé.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the EP, Nolan Lewis shares, "Do your eyeballs ever feel warm? is a love letter to my experience on spring break with The Wesleyan Spirits, a time characterized by moments of closeness that you cannot access in any other environment. I drew inspiration from the diverse musical tastes of my fellow group members. The EP is a true reflection of the well-roundedness of our group and the musical interests we share.”

Remarkably, the production, writing, and recording of Do your eyeballs ever feel warm? were completed in under a month. This rapid creation process captures the essence of Nolan’s musical journey and promises to resonate with audiences worldwide.

Nolan Lewis, an independent Jamaican-American rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer, has been creating music since he was 12 years old. Influenced by a wide array of artists from various genres, Lewis has gained attention for his unofficial remixes on YouTube and TikTok, many of which have been acknowledged by the original artists. In May 2023, he performed alongside Tierra Whack at Wesleyan University’s Spring Fling, further establishing his presence in the music scene.
