Back with elevated craft and purpose, Jordy comes through with captivating new single ‘Cherry B’. The auspicious rapper, born in Tottenham now based in Essex, had demanded the attention of alternative rap fans, garnishing his breezy, nonchalant aesthetic during his time in the public eye, dropping off hits like ‘A13’ and ‘Visions’. Having taken a break from music throughout 2020, Jordy is back for good - with the intent and talent to have a serious impact on the underground scene.

This new offering strays from the raw, hard hitting recent release ‘I Called Tj Twice’ and instead offers a similar vibrant and vivacious vitality as much of his 2019 debut EP, ‘Have a Good Summer’. The bouncy instrumental is produced bu New Machine, who has worked with household names like Jorja Smith and Kojey Radical. The old school woodwind and keys samples are subtly consolidated by punchy drums and bouncy bass to create a lively, kaleidoscopic soundscape. A seasoned spitter, Jordy brings laidback charisma, tongue in cheek word play and potent lyrical prowess to the effervescent beat.

On the topic of the track, Jordy says 

“This song is that one for me. It’s the ONE. It’s Jordy like you’ve never heard him before. And it’s the first of many, this is me finally announcing myself, I’m here to stay. It’s my babe and I’m proud of it.”
