change
Hertfordshire emcee and vocalist Callum has returned with ‘change’, his first single in over a year.
This marks his third multi-platform release, following on from the ever-smooth and repeatable ‘Park Bench’ and his debut drop ‘Sirens’ which was picked up by the usual independent-supporting outlets.
Sliding between relatable lyricism and charming vocalising, Callum’s latest drop continues the self-reflective tone of the previous two, but with a beat which may make your head do a little bop or your heel a little tap- @king_jdz takes the credit for that.
He points towards US heavyweights Mac Miller and Kendrick Lamar as musical inspirations as well as fellow Brit Loyle Carner; although nowhere near their statue, his down to earth stanzas perhaps provide more to the average listener than those nearer the charts.
‘change’ looks to be the first in a fleet of singles which we hope will pool together to create something which resembles an EP. For now though I am happy enjoying these and previous ships which can be found docked on his Soundcloud, on top of the three circling Spotify.
