Blue Print
From the second you press play on Leo Lore’s latest single ‘Blue Print’ you are serenaded by a saxophone, but it’s only a taste of the beauty that is about to unfold.
“Why don’t you just leave me?” The question is core to Lore’s exploration of his surroundings. It appears that that question is pointed towards his own demons, rather than an object of his affection. “Blue Print” is the culmination of a period of self reflection. It’s a transformation, which the saxophone mirrors.
When we are first introduced to the instrument, it begins as a subtle note. From that subtle introduction, it transitions into the core structure of the musical home around Lore as he waltzes the listener through his thought process. Just when you think the song is coming to a close, it metamorphosizes into the most beautiful solo like the sun breaking through the clouds.
What we’ve had the pleasure of listening to, is a young man finding himself through a period of darkness and expressing it in a way that reflects who he truly is after it’s all said and done. “Blue Print” sets the stage for Lore’s debut EP, which we are anxiously awaiting.
