Belligerent

South London rapper, producer and visionary Hermz4k follows up with his first single of 2021, ‘Clarity’ with unrelenting, high-energy track ‘Belligerent’ ft. Vice?!. Calling on the hard grafters and underdogs, Hermz delivers a hard-hitting motivational anthem across the warped sounds of the Ibn Itaka production.

Through grit, determination and steel, Hermz is forcing his way to the forefront of the UK’s rap and grime scene. Taking inspiration from a multitude of sources, he infuses South African Hip-Hop with the tenacity of South London’s burgeoning music scene. Blending warped sounds and lo-fi samples with his aggressive flow and intense lyrics, the result has culminated in the latest run of singles.

Speaking on the single he said:

If I die, pray I die on my feet - to be belligerent is to be on the attack, high aggression, unrelenting and intense. The track is an ode to the hard grafters and the underdogs, a war cry and rallying song which says never back down regardless of the obstacles or opposition.

Opening the track with a sample of NBA Hall of Famer, Charles Barkley’s controversial Nike Air Commercial, Hermz follows on the attack alongside East London Anti-Net member Vice?!. ‘Belligerent’ is packed with high aggression lyrics and flow, unrelenting beats and jarring strings, a signal of what’s to come from the South London native.
