ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: TOM DID IT

At 21, Tom Did It has written 500+ songs, built his own studio, and worked with Devlin, Loski, and Nafe Smallz. From lockdown sessions to performing at All Points East, he’s collaborated with Sigala and Imanbek—his debut EP drops in 2025. DIY, ambitious, and unstoppable—Tom Did It.

1. How did building “The Barn” with your dad shape your music journey?

It gave me a space to hone in on my craft over lockdown when I couldn't go to pirate studios and I never ended up going back haha.

2. Over 500 songs written—what’s your secret to staying inspired and creative?

A whole lotta smoke and a whole lotta feeling.

3. What was it like working with legends like Devlin, Loski, and Nafe Smallz?

It was humbling and incredible but a part of me felt like this was expected just because I've had such ludicrous ambition since I started music.

4. How did Dreams in Colour come together with Loski and Kirky?

I had made the song with Eight8 Beats back in February 2024 and was sat on it for a while with 2 open verses, when it came around to getting the singles together for my first project I knew I wanted it to be one of them so I lined up sessions with Loski and Kirky on separate occasions to record their verses and got a couple more tunes with each of them as well.

5. You’ve collaborated with Sigala, Imanbek, and more—what’s been the wildest moment so far?

I couldn’t pick one moment but there isn’t a feeling comparable to hearing a song you’ve written getting sung by thousands of people.

6. At 21, you’ve already achieved so much—what’s been the biggest pinch-me moment?

Playing All Points East in summer last year, I had been to the festival a couple of times before and to be performing on the day curated by one of my favourite rappers Loyle Carner was a dream.

7. What’s your favorite memory from creating your debut EP, out in April?

Being able to work with some of my idols and the pioneers of the scene I'm coming from has been mental so I would say the collaboration part of it.

9. Who’s on your dream collab list—past or present, dead or alive?

Calvin Harris

Ghetts

The Kid Laroi

MJ

Amy Whinehouse

10. DIY king with your home studio—how important is staying hands-on with your music?

I try to make sure that any step I take doesn’t impede my creative freedom, I always try to stay hands on, whether that be in label meetings or in the studio. I would feel super weird if my music/art is being worked on without me knowing.

11. What’s one surprising thing fans wouldn’t guess about your creative process?

I write, record and mix all my own music.

12. What artists or albums shaped your music taste growing up?

Frank - Amy Whinehouse

Thriller

Most Robbie Williams and Take That albums were on repeat for a lot of my childhood so I'd have to say them as well.
13. If your music were a movie, what would the title and vibe be?

It would just be called “Tom Did It” but come back to me in 15 years and we can see the vibe of it because it’s only just starting.

14. What advice would you give to young producers building their own home studio?

You can get good sh** for cheap!!!!

15. What’s next for Tom Did It—can you give us a sneak peek?
