After the whirlwind success of her most recent single ‘Home’, Brighton's most renowned rising neo-soul benefactor Kymara is back and exploring new emotional territories with her new single ‘An Island’.

In the first movement, the singer viscerally elucidates feelings of loneliness and isolation through gripping songwriting, likening her inhibitions to "an island on a sea of memories". In the second movement, once Kymara accepts herself wholeheartedly with love, the song unfolds with a series of juxtaposing major trills, as she turns the tide lyrically towards grappling with feelings of bittersweet happiness at the apex of the song. 

To the tune of an affecting minor piano arrangement, Kymara's trembling vocal shines bright, as the soulstress takes us on a journey through two dominant sections of emotive highs and lows. Sonically sublime in its nature, ‘An Island’ proves further testament to Kymara's versatility as a singer-songwriter, as well as her star power, which she continues to capture with the way she so eloquently translates the subtleties of raw emotion through her music.
