A Most Difficult Path
Rising up from Runcorn, Lee Scott sets the stage for his latest album with ‘A Most Difficult Path’. The ominous tune is lifted off ‘[gate clicks shut]’, his upcoming collaborative project with Hyroglifics, a producer most known for his intricate drum and bass on Kasra’s Critical Music.
Lee recently gave a rare interview with Jon Phonics on Balamii Radio, where he explained how he tried to make the music he liked to listen to when he was younger: a sound devoid of commercial glamour. This new tune is just that.
Haunting in his poetry, the Blah Records bossman delivers a chilling three minutes of killer lines where every one is well worth stopping on. But fellow music bloggers take heed of last verse’s closing bars:
“I still serve ‘em on a platter with a glass of beer / while ten a penny patrons stand and cheer / and tasteless tastemakers with unrefined palates / parrot faux satisfactory onomatopoeia”
‘[gate clicks shut]’ will supposedly drop whenever Lee Scott feels like it. Expect more beats rampant with unease and lyrics that twist your expectations themselves.
