Unbothered
East-end’s Baby Pink has another brand new single Unbothered, featuring backing vocals from Ayeisha Raquel and produced by none other than SLXM SOL.
Baby Pink is an alternative RnB singer that intertwines elements of electronica, hip hop and soul within her music. Her fan favourite release so happens to be Milk & Sugar released late March this year has reached almost 30K streams. Baby Pink has also released an EP the same year called Ego Sun Fire Rising which has previously been written about, read here.
When comparing to previous work Baby Pink has really elevated her sound with the new track Unbothered. She uses a mixture of spoken word borderline rap as well as her usual vocals. The first words you hear are: “tell me how you feel… tell me what it feels like”. The track seems to be a song about the underlying emotions involved when you’re caught in an entanglement with someone. The feeling of having particular feelings towards someone but having to rationalise them because you’re not together whilst having to appear to be “unbothered” (even in you are bothered) as a coping mechanism. A feeling both men and women can relate to in some degree.
It’s magical being able to witness the growth of Baby Pink so far and even more exciting to see where she goes from here.
