The Pit London is the brain-child of Tramell “Darkstepper” Mugarura and Alfred Afari, two childhood friends that share a passion for quality home-grown music. Since its inception in 2014, The Pit London have produced a multitude of successful events touching each corner of London with key brands: The Pit London Live, Playlist Party UK, Genre Clash and The Pit LDN: Open Mic Cypher.  

THE PIT LONDON LIVE
The core ethos of The Pit London stems from their Live series - shining a spotlight on underground UK artists and providing a support system for artist growth and development. Past events have been held in prestigious venues such as Notting Hill Arts Club, Camden Assembly, Birthdays and KOKO. With an aim to provide a platform for rising underground artists, The Pit London curate eclectic line-ups celebrating a range of genres. From R’n’B and Neo-Soul to Hip Hop and Grime, this is music leaving an imprint. Previous performers that have gone on to achieve worldwide success are House of Pharaohs, Master Peace, Tiana Major9, Jerome Thomas, Benny Mails, Kadiata and Sophie Faith.

PLAYLIST PARTY UK
The Playlist Party UK is an event that allows artists to plug their own music to an intimate crowd and receive instant feedback from music professionals. This is a semi-private event with attendees ranging from record label executives to mainstream radio DJ’s. On the night of the event, artists will play their latest music or demos to the crowd who then offer their constructive comments on the track. The event also includes a Q&A from a music professional and is wrapped up with a live PA. Past attendees include Stormzy, Maya Jama, Damson Idris, Oksi Odedina (Head of Marketing, Warner Bros Records), Dan Owusu (Head A&R, BMG) and Rashid Kasirye (LinkUp TV).

OPEN MIC CYPHER
The Open Mic Cypher allows MC's the opportunity test out their lyrical skills to a passionate crowd with no pressure. Concurring cyphers and open mics are integral parts of any Hip Hop and Grime artists musical journey. Consistently drawing in the freshest artists and influencers, past attendees to include Lethal B, Cadet, Ego (Family Tree), Capo Lee, Izzy Gibbs and Kenny Allstar.

GENRE CLASH
Genre Clash is an event like no other, Inspired by Dub sound clashes but with an updated twist for the modern era of our musically eclectic generation. Each hour, two DJ's will step up to the plate to represent their chosen genre in a heated back-to-back battle and the crowd decides the winner.DJ’s spin everything between Dancehall, UK Garage, House, UK Funky House, 00s RnB and more.
