Yung Kitana

fresco. has been one of my favourite discoveries this year. His album Moribund has been on heavy rotation and I’m patiently waiting for it to be pressed on wax so I know I will always have a permanent copy. It’s the type of record you can play in all situations and is never evasive. fresco.’s signature smooth delivery is charming yet raw and this carries over onto his latest visual for ‘Yung Kitana’. Coining himself the “yung shang tsung” for this piece, after the Mortal Kombat character, fresco. gets introspective about his girl vying for her heart. But with any badly-dubbed martial arts film there is always a interruptive villain and fight scene to be had.
