Versatile

UK newcomer Solid 806 has uncovered his brilliant debut album, Versatile. The independent Hackney rapper has kept his identity under wraps so far, instead choosing to let the music do the talking, and the tactic certainly seems to be paying off. The album’s current single, Married To The Game, has racked up hundreds of thousands of streams, with the track showcasing Solid 806’s lyrical ability, smooth flow and infectious melodic hooks. 

With the album titled Versatile, the remaining tracks on the project are a versatile assortment of different sounds and styles. And it immediately becomes clear when listening that Solid 806 is a special talent with a huge future ahead in the UK and beyond if he maintains this quality.

Speaking further on the project, Solid 806 commented:

“This project is not just a statement to prove that I am versatile. I like to give myself challenges and come out of my comfort zone when making music. I believe I will not progress as a musician choosing the easy options and remaking the same thing constantly. When I chose to take music seriously, I told myself that I will make music the way I want. There are no rules in this game, and I won’t stand out as an artist doing the same thing as everybody else. Why should I be the same when I could be different by being me?”

 With more content on the horizon from the rising rapper, he’s surely set for an even bigger year in 2022, so expect to see and hear plenty more from him over the coming months.
