Tiny Violin
Brighton rap trio CMPND have drafted in Orifice Vulgatron and Datkid for their latest single Tiny Violin.
No tears have been shed, or remorse given; a surprisingly fast and in your face backdrop courtesy of CMPND producer Wundrop is perfect for the array of flows our emcees cast before us. Hailing from three different cities in the bottom half of the UK, our spitters all wield completely different styles and deliveries which ultimately make this track feel a whole lot longer and more complex than the 3 minute run-time would suggest.
As if that wasn’t enough for your senses, Rogue Ethic’s Senso Zentinel also provides some on-the-nose visuals to guide us through every bar like a game of rapid word association.
Each verse brings a little something different. Maybe my Bristol-bias comes in here, but Datkid’s contribution to round off the track stands out… or it’s just some psychological thing of being the freshest in my mind. Whatever it is, Tiny Violin bangs and is out now on High Focus.
