Rinse FM at Drumsheds 2024 Review

Rinse FM’s 30th Anniversary at Drumsheds was a celebration of three decades of musical legacy and London’s underground culture. The event, held on October 5th, featured a stacked lineup with genre pioneers, emerging talent, and unforgettable performances across UK garage, grime, dubstep, and more.

Geeneus and Katy B had an electrifying set, perfectly blending old-school hits with fresh sounds. Their chemistry was magnetic, setting the tone for the night. Giggs delivered one of the highlights, performing his iconic “Talking the Hardest,” which felt like the unofficial national anthem, sending the crowd into a frenzy. DJ EZ, as always, proved why he’s considered the GOAT of UK garage, seamlessly mixing classics with new tracks, leaving no room for a lull.

The Streets, led by Mike Skinner, brought a live performance that was as gritty and heartfelt as expected. Their presence added a layer of nostalgia, drawing in fans from across generations. Oneman and Lu.Re’s B2B set was another standout, a masterclass in sonic versatility, blending grime, garage, and dubstep effortlessly.

In the club section, Saint Ludo brought an unforgettable energy, keeping the underground vibes alive. The Drumsheds venue itself was nothing short of awe-inspiring—imagine Fabric on steroids. Its industrial aesthetic, vast spaces, and world-class sound system made it the best venue in London right now.

With 15,000 attendees, Rinse FM’s celebration was nothing short of legendary. Thirty years of pushing culture forward culminated in a night that won’t be forgotten soon. It’s clear that Rinse FM and Drumsheds are setting the standard for future events in London’s electronic scene.
