Regular Bag
Birmingham’s front-runner M1llionz keeps racking up the W’s this year, bringing that sought-after atypical erratic flow back once again on the pungent offering ‘Regular Bag’.
Once again, M1llionz continues to prove why he’s the main prospect worthy of flying the flag high and mighty for the West-Midland’s unappreciated pool of talent. Following the highly-anticipated rendition of Queens’ very own 50 Cent’s ‘Candy shop’ with the Brummy’s flip, ’Bando Spot’; M1llionz turns back to his go to man on the keys HoneyWoodSix to bring us an absolutely filthy instrumental; laying the picture-perfect canvas for the drill-rapper’s unfiltered potential, exhibiting an erratic formation of flows, fuelled by the menacing instrumental.
Eased into a series of filtered and half-timed synths alongside some classic hi-hats that could sit on any pungent beat, the instrumental takes a short breather to give M1llionz the chance to let his presence known with that opening bar; ‘half a skrrr and a six shot spin, no my friend this ain’t no regular bag’ - all before that menacing drum pattern takes stage; lingering with sickening 808 slides and those pungent kicks Honeywood always comes through with.
Now lets get to the baffling amount of switch-ups this man blesses us with on this certified classic; bringing so many differing flows I can’t barely keep count. Proceeding the intoxicating hook, M1llionz breaks off into that soft-drawn out flow kicking things off with that; ‘and it could all change in one night, one glide and one shooter down onto one sight’ giving us a pensive window for us to really get drawn into this number. But let’s not forget the cadence everyone’s been talking about when it comes to this man’s arsenal of flows with that; ’12, 50, 10 percent, FS my represent, I’m the president, North-West resident’ switch-up. The man is a different breed, the versatility is unmatched.
With his debut tape ‘Provisional License’ upon the horizon - set to release on September 17th - it’s only right that you give into the hype and take a listen to this banger - not only giving you a glimpse into the Birmingham star’s highly-anticipated project, but also a potential contender for top spot on the playlist.
