Pop Your Bubble
Dutch trio Leela Rosa, Eauxby and Whynton Power hit the ground running with the compelling, tender and eloquent ‘Pop Your Bubble’. The genre combining artists, who have joined forces for an impressive, innovative project ‘Goldfished Tape Vol. 1’, thrill the listener on this track, with luscious vocals full of charisma and intensity, and musing, cultured sonic grooves.
The impeccably produced instrumental is illustrious; there is a lavish, elegant choir sample that runs throughout much of the track, offering a cinematic and ethereal timbre. There are some phosphorescent, idyllic keys that pay homage to a nuanced rhythmic section. The mix is boundless and bequeathing, allowing each instrumental part the space and texture needed to add to, and improve, the beat. Vocally, Leela Rosa stands out, with a tone bursting with attitude and magnetism, whilst carrying an air of vulnerability with it. We hear refreshingly different perspectives of love and lust through the different artists, which gives the song a rounded and thoughtful affliction.
An exciting collaboration from talented artists, this dramatic and gorgeous piece of music is definitely worth more than one listen. The full project, ‘Goldfished Tape Vol. 1’, featuring these three artists and several others is out now, is a spiritual and sensational journey, and I suggest you give it a listen!
