No Love Song

‘No Love Song’ is Children of Zeus’ latest release and will feature on their highly anticipated sophomore album 'Balance'.

'Balance' is scheduled to debut worldwide on June 6th 2021 via their label First Word Records. This song was produced by Grammy-winner Beat Butcha, whose previous production credits include Jay Z, Beyonce, Nipsey Hussle, & Griselda to name a few. Over the past few years, the hip hop soul duo have garnered adulation far and wide; from Jazzie B to Jazzy Jeff. They've done performances for the likes of Soulection and BBC, in addition to hosting their monthly NTS Radio show and collaborating with artists like Black Milk and Goldie. Their upcoming project looks like it will propel the talented duo to yet another realm of stardom.

‘No Love Song’ moves to be an intangible embodiment of emotional numbness, as Tyler Daley and Konny Kon trade verses expressing their inability to impart ample degrees of intimacy through the medium of song. The request of a love song is met with an element of almost bemusement when Konny Ken states “You must've thought this was someone else”, as traces of permanence of emotional recluse becoming increasingly apparent throughout their words.

The backdrop features a smooth and sultry mid tempered neo-R&B sound ; this is punctuated by a measured drum and kick pattern and an intermittent pitched up piano progression, as Beat Butcha laid the canvas for Children of Zeus’ captivating vocal delivery to truly resonate.
