Neon Angel
Multidisciplinary enigma MEYY has finally unveiled her stunning, genre-spanning EP ‘Neon Angel’, with the focus single ‘Rain’ featuring a superb turn from rap frontrunner Jelani Blackman.
MEYY first announced herself to the alternative scene in 2020 with her stunning, independently released debut EP ‘Spectrum’, and has since gone on to challenge, provoke and intoxicate listeners with her avant garde, provocative and intricate sound.
The EP is short and sweet, with only four tracks, and leaves us gagging for more vivid narrative exploits and spellbinding sonic adventures from the Belgium-born singer. The (sadly) only new offering is the Jelani Blackman featuring ‘Rain’, which is an atmospheric, hypnotic journey into the mind of the narrators, with MEYY’s sensual, jaw dropping vocals married perfectly with Jelani’s gruff, domineering tones. A video is set to follow the audio for ‘Rain’, with MEYY acting as creative director on the shoot.
A truly unique creative, MEYY looks set to emerge from the shadows and take the wider industry by storm in the new year.
