Moon

Florida’s Amaria takes us out of this world with dreamy production, ethereal vocals and transcendent imagery on new single ‘Moon’. The singer-songwriter from Tampa, who takes influence from Frank Ocean and Erykah Badu, uses pop, Neo-soul and R&B sensibilities, as well as fantastical wordplay, to create a fresh, virtuous and idyllic landscape of sonic bliss.

Amaria has an unparalleled, enthralling and evoking tone that is aided by some innovative and quite brilliant vocal production, that brings the best out of her sublime voice. The beat is overflowing with vibes; the subtle guitar sits back in the mix, observing the smooth, grooving bassline and melodic percussion. The production is clean, sharp and spacious, allowing the vocals to just kind of float on top of the ataractic instrumental. The lyrics are romantic and introspective, with the strong narrative guiding us to an ending that sadly feels like it comes too soon.

A beautiful track which delivers on every aspect, Amaria is a major talent that rightfully is getting some recognition. She’s got a big fan in me.
