Maths

Following on from his recent hit ‘Warm’, K-Trap not only brings back the notorious bally but also an essence of those 18’ ‘Re-Up’ days in pungent offering ‘Maths’ featuring fellow Gipsy Hill member DoRoad.

The duo hailing from South of the river go B2B on a gritty track that see’s them gliding through a choppy Natz LDN and Ice Digger production riddled with sinister hi-hats, potent bass and eerie strings. The villainous soundscape wholly compliments DoRoad’s verse; the piercing flow illustrating his arduous lifestyle and occasional censored lines leave you struggling to fight back that screwed up ‘bass face’.

K-Trap’s verse gets absolutely bodied, (standard procedure for a man of his calibre though) as the instrumental get’s stripped back for a second leaving Trap the idle space to strike in that heavy-hitting ‘spot em.. got em’ bar. The South Londoner then flips the choppy cadence into a hypnotic string of bars that certainly asserts his presence if he hadn’t already: “I drop em the hammers they know I ain’t going/in Hatton Garden like don’t blow it” before breaking off into that bar for bar chorus between the pairing.

Joined by a Toxic-directed video, K-Trap’s posted alongside his circle on an estate sporting his notorious bally that sees a return, while draped in the NIKE x NOCTA collection and some heavy metal hanging from his neck.

Personally, I’ve been trying to stay away from drill recently and listen to more mellow sounds since the suns out in all its glory but one thing I can’t deny is that this K-Trap x DoRoad number = shellings, there’s no other way to put it. So go check out the new offering for yourself and run up those numbers.
