Lemon Tea

With latest release ‘Lemon Tea’, it’s not hard to see why singer/songwriter Akemi Fox and producer Teo are the duo on the lips of many music fans in Manchester. This new addition to their repertoire packaged up the R&B conventions and transformed them. As a result, created a beautifully niche, tranquil sound - a timeless classic. When production is curated in a way that doesn’t conform to any trends, it immediately puts the track in another bracket for me. Not that I follow trends anyway, but more because naturally as a music fan, like all of us, we evolve in tastes and I highly doubt this record will be one of those we move too far away from.

Akemi Fox and Teo have their debut EP set to be released this year and I’m very much looking forward to hearing what is in store. They have been putting in the work for a while now, with appearances on BBC Introducing in Manchester and have even been spun live on BBC 1xtra. Be sure to check out ‘Lemon Tea’.
