Ouch

Ess West’s latest single Ouch blurs the lines between Indie, R&B and Rap to produce a romantic summer offering. Whilst at the same time connecting with his audience by talking about every day ordinary problems such as “ can’t find my charger… I’m on one percent”.

The Brixton born artist seamlessly and stylishly switches between singing and rapping not missing a beat, oozing confidence as he effortlessly flows over the guitar-based production. Lyrically, Ess’ paints us a picture of his turbulent relationship, giving us insight into the toxic nature of it and how nothing compares to the pain it put him through.

The visuals are shot by Joss Wild and produced by Poor House Studios and show images of the block and Ess riding around in the whip. It also shows the rapper bruised surrounded by red roses, which shows love isn’t all fun and games despite the catchy melody of the song that suggests this.

He has a string of releases pending and we cannot wait to hear more of his refreshing sound.
