Holla Me
Two of London’s brightest underground stars Harry Crane and Danny Sanchez link up on the ambitious, arrogant and articulate ‘Holla Me’. Two names that have been around for a while now, Crane has become known for his powerful tone and whimsical punchlines, whilst Sanchez has built a reputation based on adaptability; equally astute singing or rapping. On this track it is Danny’s big chorus and Harry’s sharp, expressive lyricism and delivery that stands out, putting them a cut above the rest.
The instrumental is abrasive and ominous, with slick, salient production that leaves plenty of sonic room for the two artists to work with. The main sample is off-kilter and unusual, working well with the heavy, full throttle rhythm section. Danny Sanchez has an ear for hit choruses and this is further proven here; it is a memorable melody and his tone of voice suits the beat, further showing his vastly versatile artistic nature. Harry Crane’s voice booms, concise and full of personality, throwing punchline upon punchline at the listener, flowing sharply and with precision.
A solid entry into both artists' discography, this is the work of two ever improving, creative artists. The work rate of both is commendable, and the sky's the limit of Harry Crane and Danny Sanchez.
