Friend of The Pit and Bristolian songstress Chikaya is back with her new single ‘Hny’. Known for what she describes as Cosmic trap the new single showcases Chikaya’s celestial vocals intertwined with low-fi electronic beats, to create a sci-fi themed trap offering that’ll have heads bopping.   

Speaking about the song, Chikaya says: 

“I felt like being more experimental, and working on the kind of song I’d enjoy turning up to with my mates and playing loud!

I messed around with autotune and wrote something playful that shows another side to me which was fun to explore. HNY isn’t a serious song or a love song. It’s just a fun song!”

As well as doing an amazing performance for our Bristol live show debut last year with ILUVLIVE, Chikaya had an incredible year last year with as she was featured in Complex, Clash, London In Stereo, RWD, Spindle, Fred Perry Subculture, Jamz Supernova, Toddla T and BBC Introducing. With upcoming features from Masterpeace and Bok Bok we are more than excited for what Chikaya has on the horizon!
