Feet Don't Fail Me Now

Joy Crookes is rooted on ‘Feet Don’t Fail Me Now’.

From the beginning of her career Joy has always been intertwined to her Southern Asian heritage and ‘Feet Don't Fail Me Now’ accentuates some elements of the cultures whilst giving us a range of messages that only gives more depth into her world.

From the cultural attires to the old scooters normally seen and used as daily and public forms of transport in Bangladesh, Joy unapologetically brings us through her roots showing how she’s connected to everything by the braids intertwined to the characters and the underground parties that spring an air of youthfulness that can't be tamed.

A general feel of ‘freedom of expression’ plays as the main character in this piece, as Joy shows how, even though we are all connected, she has found herself rising above the social vanity inspired pressures as she floats above the characters in an all white angelic attire.

There’s also a brief throwback glimpse to her breakout song ‘Don’t Let Me Down’, a highlighted scene with various hands around her but this time she’s placed more royal, which begs the question, is she saying this is just the beginning as she gears up to release her long anticipated album?

Looking forward to what's in store for Ms Crookes.
