Exclusive Premiere: Strama - I Know You Know

Upcoming soulstress Strama delivers an exclusive acoustic performance of her devastatingly divine cut I Know You Know.

The London-based, Netherlands-raised and Italian-Romanian native Strama has been provoking listeners in the UK Alternative space with her encompassing approach to creating, drawing on elements of R&B, Dark Pop and Soul within her breathtaking sound. 

Ahead of the release of her latest track I Know You Know, the singer, songwriter and producer jumped into her home studio to deliver us a gorgeous stripped back performance of the new song. Strama exhibits her tender songwriting, delving into a tale of love, lust and lost written from the perspective of a flawed male protagonist. Her stunning vocals and nuanced guitar playing make for a delicious slice of emotive goodness. 

Speaking on the track, Strama comments:

“Usually people write about heartbreak and feeling betrayed. I wanted to write about the unpopular side, where you’re the one causing the damage, you’re the ‘bad guy’. Towards the end of the song is the moment of realisation, knowing you messed up by leading the other person on and you know they know you hurt them, but both of you don’t say anything because it’s uncomfortable being vulnerable”.

The official single drops tomorrow, 5th May and is the next teaser from Strama’s anticipated debut EP Silver Lining, which is set for release on 2nd June.
