Do You Want It

Ulrika Berg is a rising R&B artist based in west London and originally from Sweden. The emerging star has been impressing fans with her silky-smooth R&B/soul sounds since bursting on the scene last year with debut single ‘Stay Queen’. And now, less than a year since her arrival, she has unveiled her self-titled debut album, which is led by new single ‘Do You Want It’.

A sensual track filled with lush harmonies, it begins with the spotlight firmly on Ulrika’s light and airy vocals before the mellow, downtempo beat kicks in. Although subtle in its delivery, the song’s lasting impact is powerful, with its infectious hook weaving its way into your head after one listen as Ulrika sings: “Do you want it good, even though it’s bad for you?”

Speaking further on ‘Do You Want It’, Ulrika commented:

“‘Do You Want It’ is about a physical connection that is so addictive that you surrender yourself to it. That feeling is so powerful, and it doesn’t happen often. But when it does, it’s the biggest thrill. Needs to be a special connection for it to be like an effortless dance between two people. But it is so intense that in real life you know you are not good for one another, so it won’t last. You soak up the moment, and let it be just that, pure physical chemistry. I love a subtle, sexy song, a tease that still has you guessing and longing for more.”

‘Do You Want It’ is taken from Ulrika Berg’s self-titled debut album, which is out now on all platforms.
