Exclusive Premiere: Darkness - Darling (ft. Ayeisha Raquel)

For the follow up to their previous collaboration, East London producer Darkness reunites with class act singer Ayeisha Raquel on ‘Darling’.

Darkness possesses the ability to produce high quality tracks across multiple genres. The subtlety of the beat that underpins the expertly composed melody shows real musical understanding and is a significant advancement of the current R&B format. The sensual subject matter in no way detracts from the sincerity of the track, the vocal is rich and the harmonies are warm and low in the mix. At no point does anything feel forced, rather the hypnotic rhythm and sparse jazz chords transport you through a multitude of moods and emotional colours.

Tracks of this nature are welcome in today’s climate. It is a triumph to be able to produce a commercially viable piece that in no way conforms to a pretence of superficial sexuality and yet is as intoxicating as a first kiss. The track will sit perfectly comfortably in almost any atmosphere, from poolside to fireside, to bedside.
