Come With Me
Rising singer, songwriter and producer Chloe Bodur releases her new track/video, Come With Me. As the 24-year-old enters a new era sonically and visually, Chloe reflects a bolder and more honest version of herself, freely expressing sexuality and honouring female pleasure. The song expands on conversations between friends about their sexual unfulfillment with male lovers. Led by Chloe’s hypnotic vocals, the track came to life in a post-covid jam session when her bandmates exchanged instruments in a successful experiment. Marking the most accurate representation of her sound to date which exposes her sultry and unique tone, Chloe is laying the foundations for her ever evolving artistry. The accompanying video showcases a sensual performance from Chloe alongside her band, filmed in Soho Houses’, Tea Building Studio.
Chloe’s musical journey has been influenced by her families eternal love for music, in particular her cousin and long-time collaborator’s JD REID (Celeste, slowthai, Mabel). She cites her musical heroes as everyone from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Flying Lotus and The Neptunes to icons such as Anita Baker and Austrid Gilberto. Born and raised in Cricklewood - North West London, her Sri-Lanken and Turkish duel heritage has remained a huge inspiration and Chloe aims to break the mould and inspire the next generation of South Asaian and Middle Eastern women to feel empowered to express themselves both personally and professionally. Balancing her music career with part-time work in her Dad’s Ice Cream Van, she represents working class musicians who want to use their voice to share the realities of surviving as an artist today. Her genre-bending sonic merges R&B and Bossanova to form what she calls R&Bossanova with Jazz and psychedelic Soul tendencies - but never Neo-Soul.
Late 2021 saw the release of her most recent EP, MAVI which cemented Chloe’s name as a leader of the UK Alt R&B movement, reflected in a successful headline show at West London’s Laylow. Chloe also performed at Jamz Supernova’s intimate Ones To Watch showcase alongside Nayana IZ and Jerome Thomas before the project’s release. With an abundance of creative ideas and live sessions in the vault, Chloe switches her focus to forthcoming music in preparation for a busy summer of releases.
