Blues
Enfield rapper Aggy D has been hitting the streets hard with a borage of high energy singles suited to get any club jumping. His latest hit comes in the form of ‘Blues’ - a genre-blending track that is set to turn heads. Known for his signature bounce, both in flow and performance, Aggy rides over the addictive Tash instrumental packed with Playboi Carti-esque synths and thumping drums. The song follows the metaphor “I can’t believe that I used to roll with Blues”, giving light to Aggy’s rise from a previous negative mind-set, and a transition from Blue to Silver Rizlas. The playful visual, directed by Arthur Dobree, is a steady reminder that big budgets don’t mean anything unless you have the charm to pull off a great performance and Aggy certainly delivers in that department. Reminiscent of the early UK music scene, Aggy D’s msuic is setting the tone for the incoming boom of DIY rap.
